The short version
If I can't fix it, you don't pay — so there's nothing to refund. Cancellations: no fees, no questions asked. Subscriptions: cancel any time; no charge after your current period ends.
One-time sessions
Every session is covered by the no-fix-no-pay guarantee. If the problem gets resolved, payment is due at the end of the session. If it doesn't, you owe nothing. If you feel the fix didn't hold after the session, contact me directly and we'll figure it out.
Cancellations
Cancel or reschedule any time before your session starts. No fees, no hassle.
Subscription plan
You can cancel your monthly subscription at any time. You keep access until the end of the billing period you've already paid for. There are no partial refunds for mid-period cancellations.
Disputes
If something went wrong, contact me first through the form on the website. I'd rather sort it out directly than go through a formal dispute process.
Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
Full Legal Text — Refund & Cancellation Policy
This Refund and Cancellation Policy ("Policy") governs payments and cancellations for services provided by The Helpful Nerd ("Service Provider," "I," "me," or "my"). By booking or using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
One-Time Sessions
One-time remote support sessions are subject to a no-fix-no-fee guarantee. Payment is due only upon successful resolution of the stated technical issue. If the Service Provider is unable to resolve the issue, no charge will be made. If a customer believes a resolved issue has recurred or was not fully addressed, they should contact the Service Provider directly within seven (7) days of the session to request a review at no additional charge.
Cancellation of Scheduled Sessions
Customers may cancel or reschedule a booked session at any time prior to its start without penalty. No cancellation fees apply.
Subscription Plan
Monthly subscription fees are billed in advance at the start of each billing period. Customers may cancel their subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, access to subscription benefits continues through the end of the current paid billing period. No partial or pro-rated refunds are issued for unused days remaining in a billing period at the time of cancellation.
Disputes
Customers with billing concerns or disputes should contact the Service Provider directly using the contact form on the website. The Service Provider will make good-faith efforts to resolve disputes promptly and fairly.
Governing Law
This Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Changes To This Policy
This Policy may be updated at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
